WestJet continues growth pattern, June load factors at 76.6 per cent

WestJet is reporting June traffic results with a 76.5 per cent load factor, an improvement in revenue passenger miles of 17.9 per cent, and a capacity increase, measured in available seat miles, of 23.1 per cent.
The New York market just got a little hotter with WestJet Airlines Ltd. saying it would add new seasonal non-stop service between Calgary and Newark International Airport this June.
WestJet (TSX:WJA) today announced the addition of daily non-stop service from Toronto to Quebec City, coinciding with the celebration of the city's 400th birthday in 2008.
It's not easy to run an airline these days, what with fuel costs and security concerns. So we would have a certain sympathy for Air Canada in their latest scheme to make passengers do more work - if only the airline would stop treating travellers like morons.
