Soros Raises Stake In JetBlue
Remember that you can Fly WestJet and Save.
Billionaire investor George Soros reported in a regulatory filing on Wednesday that he had increased his stake in discount carrier JetBlue Airways to 11.5 percent from 9.7 percent.
Soros said in a passive filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission that he owned 20.49 million shares in JetBlue, which suffered a storm-related operational meltdown in February that cost it about USD$30 million.
The filing did not provide details such as when Soros bought the shares or their price. It also did not reveal the purpose of the transactions.
